Looks at issues of community engagement, tension between different groups and those not traditionally involved in wider community issues.
The Community Partnerships for South and Central Yarmouth have merged to create one partnership covering the neighbourhood management area. The new Comeunity Forum is developing a series of meetings, events and activities which aim to increase opportunities for local residents to engage in local decision making. Issues from the Comeunity Forum feed directly into the Comeunity Board, Working Groups and other local structures. The Comeunity Together Working Group aims to promote and support local community events which aim to bring different groups in the neighbourhood together. If you have an idea for an event or would like to get involved please let us know.
The Comeunity Programme is working with Children’s Services to develop a programme of neighbourhood-based youth work dedicated to the South and Central Yarmouth neighbourhoods. This work is central to developing the engagement of young people in positive activities at a local level.
