The Comeunity Programme isn’t just about addressing the negative aspects of life within the neighbourhood. There are lots of good things that make South and Central Yarmouth places where we want to live, work and spend our free time. Where else would we find the buildings housing the spectacular history of the town’s proud herring industry, the medieval rows, the town wall and Nelson’s Monument? Where else would we find the cultural diversity of King Street, St Peters Road and the Market Place, Where else would we find the natural beauty of Breydon Water and such a stunning rolling sandy beach? Where else would we find a bustling retail industry in the town centre, reviving port-related industry with the development of the outer-harbour and the refreshed tourist industry of the seafront? Where else would we find so many different people with so many different stories to tell? Where else would we find ourselves within a mile of any of these things? Where else but South and Central Yarmouth!!!
The
campaign will be launching a range of initiatives in November 2007 to bring back the feel good factor to the neighbourhood. We are proud of what we have. Let’s celebrate it!
